Oppida is an independent audit and consulting firm whose mission is to help companies evaluate and strengthen their information systems.

Oppida was born in 1998 when our founders Eric, Olivier and Hervé met and pooled their complementary skills around a single project.

At the time, at the ANSSI, we were already working on SSI projects to raise awareness among ministries and administrations. We were carrying out demonstrations of computer attacks that were in great demand, to the point that our hierarchy asked us to stop because they thought that this was leading to "training hackers"... Moreover, we could not advise companies that were beginning to have needs for advice and training in SSI. That's where the idea of setting up a company in the field of ISS (now cybersecurity) came from.

I knew Olivier from his previous job. When Hervé and Olivier presented their project to me, I was immediately attracted. Moreover, I knew what I didn't want to do: an ISS that just sends out CVs to its clients. It was a good thing: that wasn't their objective either!
